The Department of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is searching for an outstanding tenure-track/tenured faculty member at the Associate/Full rank (rank and tenure status commensurate with qualifications) in the broad area of water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and microbiological pathogens. A doctoral degree in environmental health sciences, environmental microbiology, environmental engineering, or a related scientific discipline is required. To be considered as a strong candidate for this position, a solid record of obtaining research funding from major funding agencies (e.g., NIH, EPA, NSF) is necessary.
