Directs overall operations of the Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) and Medical Staff Support functions for the PIH Health Enterprise, including, but not limited to: PIH Health Whittier Hospital (PHWH), PIH Health Downey Hospital (PHDH), PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital (PHGSH), and PIH Health Physicians (PHP). Develops and maintains strategies for resource allocation and utilization management related to Medical Staff supports and services. Responsible for staffing and budgetary requirements of the Medical Staff offices and other resource needs. Facilitates the collection of data for quarterly quality reporting from data sources which include external benchmarking processes, incorporation of Performance Improvement (PI) reports from hospital and medical group departments, regulatory and standards compliances, and other data parameters as required. Ensures that issues brought to the Medical Excellence Committee (MEC) and Governing Board are appropriately addressed and reported on by way of Medicine Committees and service reports, specific topical items from meeting to meeting, special occurrence reports, etc. Facilitates completion of Medical Staff projects, such as Bylaws revisions, Rules & Regulations revisions, Policy Amendments, and other required documentation pertaining to the functions of Medical Staff across the Enterprise. Director will work with the Chief Medical Officers and Presidents of the Medical Staffs to streamline Medical Staff processes across the Enterprise. This is a supervisory role of the hospital and medical group Medical Staff office personnel. This position is exempt.

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree, with current CPMSM, CPCS
- Five years progressive management experience
- One to three years demonstrated experience in Quality Improvement techniques, OPPE/FPPE, CME and GME Processes
- Emergency Call Rotations and a minimum of two years active experience in Conditions of Participation for Medical Staff, Title XXII, HCFA and other State and Federal requirements and standards as they relate to Medical Staff functions
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Medical Staff Management and Optimizations in Credentialing regulations and NCQA processes
- Knowledge of ASM MDStaff Database and functions
- Master’s Degree in any healthcare administration-related field
