The incumbent is responsible for providing ER/acute medicine services within the Leavenworth VA Medical Center. The staff physician may be asked to provide care in various settings: acute inpatient, Medicine, and Emergency Department. Duties include but are not limited to: Provides direct care to patients in the Acute Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine departments. Provides clinical guidance to ARNP's/PA's. Participates in interdisciplinary team activities to achieve optimum quality of patient care that is maintained or improved. Participates in the progressive improvement of the service delivery which may include programmatic participation in initiatives within the facility.
