Description The Division of Cardiology at The Heart Institute, Stony Brook University Hospital, seeks full-time academic Consultative or Non-invasive imaging cardiologists (Assistant or Associate or Full Professor levels) to serve a population of 1.5 million people at Suffolk County's largest academic hospital.

For those interested in non-invasive imaging, formal training in cardiac imaging (including TTE and TEE, Cardiac CT, CMR, PET, and/or Nuclear Cardiology) is beneficial but not essential. Our labs are all Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for Echocardiography (IAC) certified.
Receive strong support as translational and clinical investigators, with mentoring to become independent cardiovascular research investigators.

Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MD, DO or MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Disease. Excellence in clinical care and teaching in cardiology (inpatient and outpatient).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior leadership experience. For those interested in a non-invasive imaging/advanced imaging pathway, at least level II training in one area of advanced imaging is desired. Clinical, translation or basic research experience is advantageous and mentoring is available.
