Grady Hospital is seeking 2 board certified Physiatrists to assist with development and launching a 24 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, on site with Atlanta's only Level 1 trauma center and the leading Stroke Center of Excellence in the Southeastern USA.

This unit is designed to accept medically complex SCI, TBI, Stroke patients in transfer from the ICU/Step-down units to improve successful and efficient discharge rate to home for patients whose lives have been saved, however, they may not otherwise qualify for acute rehabilitation services elsewhere due to limited funding.

The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in caring for people regardless of background, a track record of innovative approaches to patient care, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to teach residents.

Call for the unit will be provided by these 2 physicians. The physician will be an employee of Emory University and will be a vital piece of a growing PMR department at Grady Hospital in downtown Atlanta.
