Your clinical skills and expertise will play a pivotal role in providing outstanding patient care at UF Health's premier facilities, including UF Health Shands Hospital, Shands Children's Hospital, and Shands Cancer Hospital. You will be at the forefront of medical advancements, serving in service areas that encompass our Level I Trauma Center, High-risk OB, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 4 NICU, Congenital Heart Center, Solid Organ Transplantation, and Cancer Center. Your experience may also determine your division, offering you the chance to focus on your passion and excel in your field.
Members of the multispecialty division provide complete perioperative care for patients undergoing a wide variety of surgeries including:
general surgery
orthopedics
ophthalmology
plastic surgery
urology
otolaryngology
minimally invasive surgery
bariatric surgery
oral/maxillofacial surgery
oncologic surgery
The Division of Multispecialty Anesthesiology serves as a foundation for clinical experiences for both introductory and advanced anesthesia residents. We provide care for patients with the highest levels of acuity affording an excellent educational opportunity for our outstanding residents.

Department Highlights:
•Our academic anesthesiologists work in a team-based environment alongside 85 faculty anesthesiologists, with training in all
subspecialty areas providing care across the entire spectrum of modern perioperative medicine, 88 residents, 25 fellows, 75
CRNA/CAAs, and a support and administrative staff of 40+ people.

•We perform more than 59,000 anesthetized cases annually.
•Our state-of-the-art Center for Safety, Simulation, & Advanced Learning Technologies (CSSALT) provides education and training
to residents, faculty, and clinical personnel to advance patient safety by training clinicians to use existing devices, procedures,
and drugs better via simulation and to re-desig...n devices, procedures, and drug delivery.
•We support 67 operating rooms, 8 surgical ICUs, 16 NORA locations, and publish over 150 peer-reviewed publications a year.
