Position Summary:Perform end-of-visit charge entry for outpatient ancillary services, clinics and professional charges. Assign ICD-9-CM diagnosis and CPT codes when written in by provider, perform daily charge to visit reconciliation, and resolves edits in Hospitals and professional services billing systems. Assist with staff and provider billing process education. Support patient discharge activity including coordination of follow-up appointments and ordering of tests. Track statistics for area and maintain productivity and timeliness standards for position. May perform other related clerical tasks as assigned. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
