The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at The Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) is seeking a full-time physician to join its team of 6 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners.  CHKD is a 206-bed free-standing children’s hospital and level 1 pediatric trauma center, housing the only inpatient rehabilitation unit in the state, providing comprehensive subspecialty services to children in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.  Our division provides family-centered care via 2 acute care teams and the 8-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, managing over 2000 admissions per year. Our team plays an integral role in medical education for the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) pediatric clerkship and residency program, and is involved in pediatric-related quality improvement and research both locally and nationally.

Our division is part of the Children’s Specialty Group, PLLC (CSG), a physician-owned group of >100 physicians and advance practice providers whose mission is to provide high-quality healthcare to children and adolescents, train future clinicians, and conduct research to improve children’s health. We are the sole providers of medical specialty care at CHKD.
