Senior Reimbursement Specialist, Cost Reporting (Onsite based in Dallas, TX)

The main responsibility is the preparation of the Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE reports for Tenet acute care hospitals (â��Cost Reportsâ��). The position also coordinates with the Government Programs Audit Support and Operations Reimbursement to resolve audit issues and reimbursement matters, respectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of Cost Reports.
Maintain data needed for cost reports such as statistics and required queries.
Support audits as needed with issues such as explanations for cost report variances.
Assist Operations Reimbursement as needed. For example, may provide explanations for changes in various reimbursement items such as Medicare DSH or Medical Education.
Special projects as needed such as Wage Index or review of revised Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
Individual must be fully versed in principles of reimbursement, keep current on legislative changes, and be fully versed in cost report preparation.
Individual must be capable of handling multiple projects and must be able to provide technical support to the hospitals, regions, and corporate.
Bachelorâ��s Degree in accounting/business with a minimum of 3 â�� 5 yearsâ�� experience in reimbursement.
