The Pulmonary section provides medical (non-surgical) care to inpatients, outpatients and long-term care. Some non-invasive and invasive respiratory procedures (as detailed below) are performed. Patients requiring surgery (e.g. thoracotomy and lung resection) are referred to other VAMC's. Patients requiring ventilator management are referred to community hospitals or other VAMC's. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Board Eligible Preferred Experience: BC/ Certification/competency in Sleep Medicine is Preferred.
