Medical Assistant – Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus
United Health Services in Upstate New York is hiring full-time Medical Assistants to support our primary care, walk-in, and specialty care offices in and around Binghamton, Johnson City, Vestal, Endicott, and Norwich, New York. Positions are available across more than 15 locations and offer regular, full-time hours.

- Up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus for candidates with 1+ years of experience

Medical Assistant Position Overview
Medical Assistants work in both a clinical and clerical capacity at United Health Services. In addition to working in the front of the office, you’ll also perform routine clinical tasks and measurements, such as taking patient vitals at the start of their visit. As an integral part of our physician practice team, you will help provide patients with a seamless experience during their time in the office.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assignments within the scope of a medical assistant, including measurement of patients’ weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse oximetry
- Maintain medical records according to policy and complete accurate patient documentation
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other members of our healthcare team to coordinate care
- Greet patients with a positive and friendly approach at every interaction
- Provide quality service by phone, electronic messaging, or in person; perform registration, scheduling, and insurance verification per policy with attention to detail
- Stay aware of patient wait times and work with the healthcare team to answer questions and provide updated information regarding delays
- Treat all patients, family, and other visitors with respect and compassion
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures and safety/health regulations
- Demonstrate commitment to United Health Services’ organizational Values of Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or 2 years of clinical experience in a medical or healthcare setting
- Documentation of CPR certification within 1 week of employment
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a walk-in, primary care, or specialty care setting
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) credential
