Atlantic Health System is seeking a part-time Credentialing Specialist to work in Newton NJ, 3 times per week, 8:00am - 4:00pm. No weekends.
Essential Job Function:
The Credentialing Specialist ensures that all credentialed providers have the appropriate training, licensing, malpractice etc.
Assist in the processing of reappointments for providers.
Maintain a working knowledge of the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and Joint Commission requirements.
Monitoring and maintaining licenses and other expirables in physician files.
Maintains confidentiality of provider information.
All other duties as assigned.
Enter On Call Schedules
Attend department meetings and record minutes
Ability to organize and prioritize work and mange multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research and anlyze data
Ability to work independently
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Organized, process driven, excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills are the keys to being successful in this role
Must work well in a team environment
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate Degree Preferred
Excellent computer skills
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
