The role you’ll contribute:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Lead Analyst oversees the Analytics team in transforming data into actionable insights that inform the organization's strategic decisions and drive business value. Possesses a combination of business, technical, and Revenue Cycle operations knowledge, enabling data-driven identification of opportunities for process improvement in support of strategic initiatives. Under minimal supervision of Senior Manager, collaborates with functional area staff across the Revenue Cycle to understand business workflows and build actionable metrics and dashboards to support Revenue Cycle operations. Leads analytics projects, liaising with operational, financial, and IT teams to query and acquire data, organize/ and analyze it, model the data, identify trends and patterns, draw conclusions and propose insights. Collaborates with Revenue Cycle leaders and other functional areas of the Process Improvement and Business Support department to support issue discovery, tracking, and resolution. Presents findings in reports and dashboards to leadership helping them make decisions that improve processes. The BI Lead Analyst will adhere to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance standards, as well as rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

- Mentors and collaborates with Business Intelligence Analysts in the development, implementation, validation, and monitoring of large complex systems.
- Understands resource requirements for the Analytics team from planned strategic projects and other system initiatives, and supports leadership in facilitation of project prioritization as needed
- Leads Analytics projects, managing development of metrics, dashboards, and other analytic deliverables, liaising with Revenue Cycle teams or other Process Improvement and Business Support teams as necessary
- Develops and implements insightful visualizations relaying key performance indicators (KPIs) identified by the Revenue Cycle operational team and Revenue Cycle and System SMEs team
- Oversees collaboration between BI Analysts and Revenue Cycle and System SMEs to develop technical specifications for metrics, scorecards, dashboards, and other analytics
- Flags data or analytics limitations, employs critical thinking and creative problem solving to address barriers, and escalates issues to leadership when appropriate
- Supervises responsibilities of the Analytics team to identify key data needs, define data sources, create a data plan, prepare specifications, and document clearly
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Finance or related field OR three (3) years of equivalent progressive practical experience.
- Fundamental awareness of data querying techniques (i.e., Structured Query Language, Power Query, Power Pivot)
- Working knowledge of DAX for Power BI
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of one or more business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, QlikView, Oracle Business Intelligence, HPM, Minitab or similar.)

Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree(s) including a Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance or related field
- Experience in Database Administration, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Artificial
- Intelligence, Information Systems, Information Technology.
- Experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
- Microsoft Business Intelligence Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
- Healthcare Financial Management Association Membership (HFMA)
