The role you’ll contribute:
Greeter and shuttle driver responsibilities include a compassionate, caring attitude. Practicing a safe and quality workplace by adhering to all rules and regulations regarding vehicle and transport safety. Will be proficient in AIDET, customer service, wheelchair transport and shuttle operations. Major duties include a 10-point vehicle safety checkpoint prior to each shift, safe operation of vehicle, and patient, visitor and customer assistance in and out of shuttle when needed. Provide relief to Lobby Greeter when requested by management to transport, direct and escort our AdventHealth customers. Work well as a team and ability to work independently.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Appropriately greets each patient and/or visitor who enters the Palmer Lobby and delivers consistent excellent customer service.
- Meets the needs of those who enter the Palmer Lobby and follows through with requests for escort, transport or service recovery.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of wheelchairs in the Palmer Lobby to meet customer needs. Accurately maintains maintenance on wheelchairs when needed working with Facilities.
- Maintains and safeguards a current daily pre-admit list to refer to prior to giving directions or escorting customers to destinations.
- Maintains positive working relationship with volunteers by assisting with accurate in-house phone list, providing updates for the Information Desk resource index book, supporting and following through with volunteer concerns, needs and requests.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year experience working with the general public.
- Safe driving record.
- Multi-person transportation service preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver's License
