Marshfield Clinic Health System, Marshfield Medical Center-Marshfield, Wisconsin is recruiting a Pediatric Nephrologist.
Marshfield Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Open to candidates interested in either full-time or part-time practices. The Marshfield Clinic Health System is a fully integrated health system that geographically covers a population of 1 million people. Marshfield Children's Hospital is a children's hospital within the Marshfield Medical Center. It is the only children's hospital in central and northern Wisconsin. Our pediatric nephrologist cares for children with a wide range of disorders and includes a unique mix of acute intensive inpatient and chronic longitudinal outpatient care. There is opportunity to provide apheresis services as well as acute and chronic renal replacement therapies. The pediatric nephrologists provides care for renal transplant recipients in conjunction with pediatric transplant referral centers. Marshfield Children's provides full service pediatric nephrology care, serving patients from prenatal consultation through transition to adult nephrology.
Center of Excellence for Bardet-Biedl Syndrome
Marshfield Clinic Health System is the only health system in the nation that provides comprehensive care for patients with Bardet-Biedl syndrome. The Center of Excellence for Bardet-Biedl Syndrome hosts patients from across the world and has become a leader in cutting edge translational research in this rare ciliopathy. Research opportunities are strongly supported through the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute.
Our 74-bed Children's Hospital is Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital, and one of only four in Wisconsin. It is equipped with the latest technology, more than 40 pediatric specialties and board-certified pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists. Certified child life specialists ensure children receive the emotional support they may need to cope with their evaluation and treatment during their ambulatory procedure or hospital stay.
Marshfield Children's Hospital has 24 bed level 3 NICU with 24/7 neonatology support and normal newborn nursery; 8 bed PICU with 24/7 pediatric intensivist support including sedation services; 26 bed pediatric acute beds including 8 bed Heme-Onc positive pressure rooms and 24/7 pediatric hospitalist support.
Opportunities include teaching Pediatric and Med-Peds residents and medical students. Research opportunities are available through the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute.
