Description
The Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Division at Stony Brook Children's Hospital and the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Critical Care physician to join a vibrant division. Academic rank will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level. Candidates must be eligible for New York State licensure.
The successful candidate will possess an MD/DO degree, Board Certification in Pediatrics, and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Candidates must have a commitment to collaborative clinical care, education, patient safety, and career development. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to medical advancement through research or significant scholarship.
Responsibilities include teaching, research and patient care programs appropriate to a major university. Individuals will be selected on the basis of their training, clinical experience, research potential and their commitment to teaching. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence, education, patient safety and collaboration.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: MD/DO Degree. Board Certified in Pediatrics. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York.
Preferred Qualifications: Research experience and interest in developing a research program. Experience with the use of advanced mechanical support devices, systemic anticoagulation. Research experience involving registry-based studies preferred.

In accordance with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulation that all hospitals and nursing homes “continuously require all personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19,” Candidates who are not already vaccinated must obtain the first dose of the vaccine within three (3) calendar days of acceptance of conditional job offer and must obtain any subsequent doses in accordance with the vaccine protocol.
