The Center for Pediatric Palliative Care at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is seeking to add a BE/BC Pediatric Palliative Care physician to our multidisciplinary team. Pediatric Palliative Care at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is a rapidly growing program in its 11th year of service. Responsibilities of the position include inpatient consultation, outpatient visits both in clinic and home visits, primary management of patients on hospice, and prenatal services. In addition to clinical activities, division members are expected to participate in research as well as teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is a tertiary care center located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Center for Pediatric Palliative Care is currently comprised of a full-time fellowship trained physician, board certified in pediatrics and palliative care, 2 full-time nurse practitioners, a full-time art therapist/counselor, a full-time RN clinical coordinator, and a half-time chaplain. The team follows patients with a wide spectrum of life threatening diseases in collaboration with other service lines.

Qualified candidates are required to have an MD/DO degree and board eligibility or board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine as well as Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. Academic appointments are through Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Faculty rank is open, commensurate with experience.
