The Primary Care Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Staff Physician is responsible for carrying out operations of the Primary Care Service in the Community Clinics. The Staff Physician provides a full range of primary care services emphasizing on quality, timeliness, and the advancement of the VA mission. The approximate time assigned in each of the areas (as of the date of this functional statement) is listed below. This may change over time depending on the needs of the Primary Care Service, the Community Clinic and the Medical Center. The time allotment is consistent with information contained in the physician mapping tool that is used to follow physician duties and productivity. The specific allocation within each area (e.g. number of clinics per week, number of months attend on inpatient wards, number of research duties..) is found in the mapping tool. These allocations are approximate, and may vary depending on individual job duties, and the evolving needs of the health care system.
