Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a Part Time 0.1 FTE Medical Director Physician to join our WPMG HQ team in Renton, Washington.

The APP Medical Education Director, North Service Region is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of the APP yearlong training program. This includes coordination of the classes, updating the curriculum and class materials, teaching a broad spectrum of primary care, providing support and resources for APP students. In addition, they work with in clinic mentors to help recruit, orient, and train mentors. Through this role we provide a strong orientation to WPMG core values and Primary Care.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilizing the APP mentoring program goals and objectives, designs an orientation program to support the onboarding of new APP providers.
Monitors and tracks progress for progression through orientation.
Acts as advisor to onboarding APP's and establishes periodic check in with cohorts to confirm progress and feedback in orienting with WPMG.
Work closely with APP Mentors - helping recruit, orient, and train mentors
Frequent check ins with APP mentors regarding APP progress and how they are doing in clinic.
Train to goals as outlined and updated in the program goals and objectives.
Assists chiefs in coordinating the recommended blocks needed for shadowing and mentorship.
Provides support in orienting to the WPMG / KP Patient Centered Medical Home model
Participates in department meetings.

MD, DO, or APP with experience in teaching primary care
Completion of approved residency program or training program.

Unrestricted WA state medical license
Credentialed by KPWA
Board certified (MD, DO)
