Fairview Health Services is looking for a Staffing Advisor to help us in producing schedules for our employees in our hospitals. This rewarding role helps make a difference by ensuring the units are adequately staffed to assist with our patients. By monitoring daily staffing for current needs, this role will work to confirm the staff are present to provide safe staff-to-patient ratios, or to meet staffing requirements. The Staffing Advisor will also serve as a timekeeper for the electronic time and attendance system and work with nursing management to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
Hours: 80 hours per pay period

Starting at: $20 per hour
The duties of the Staffing Advisor include:
Creating and maintaining accurate staff schedules within guidelines set by policies, union contract, department guidelines and human resources policies.
Acting as a timekeeper for the electronic time keeping system.
Tracking and reporting departmental data such as attendance, employee data and skill level of all personnel
Ensuring that necessary information regarding staffing issues are relayed appropriately to Nurse Managers, staffing office leadership, Administrative Nursing Supervisors and other designated leadership as appropriate.
Participating in department and system quality improvement projects
Performing other duties as assigned.
No experience? No problem! One to three years of previous scheduling experience in a hospital setting is a plus, but not required.
High level of communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to use PC, network applications and staffing software applications
Ability to organize details
Ability to work independently and multi-task while providing excellent customer service to all levels of staff, outside agencies and contracts
