IT Analyst, Sr. - Imaging Physics
The Imaging Informatics Analyst is a staff position in support of the imaging Quality and Safety operation at Duke University. The individual is primarily responsible for providing support in developing and architecting a scalable imaging informatics infrastructure for a large volume of medical imaging data, structured and unstructured from various medical imaging devices; writing RESTful services, backend database setup, integration, and management , and other middle-tier framework using full-stack technologies; creating mockups in HTML/CSS, workflows and design specs to quickly visualize and experiment with new features; Analyzing the in-house software/algorithms enhancements and extracting requirements from external and internal users. This analyst will work closely with key clinical researchers to translate scientific discoveries or algorithms into valuable applications, supporting special imaging informatics infrastructure projects and assist in the development of cross-functional projects related to the internal informatics infrastructure. Participate in additional technical projects as needed. Candidates should have solid programming skills and some hands-on experience with DICOM/HL7 standards and interfacing with PACS.
Experience in image data processing and management.
Experience in designing and building efficient and scalable solutions for large volumes of data.
Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Web RESTful services/application experience.
Knowledge and experience working with medical imaging data with dcm4che, Mirth, and FHIR
Strong HTML5, CSS & SCSS or SASS experience
SQL and No-SQL Database design experience
Work requires a bachelor's degree or higher degree in computer science, industrial engineering, biomedical informatics, biomedical engineering, or other directly related scientific field.
2+ years of software development experience with a focus on healthcare.
2+ years of experience with DICOM/PACS
