Operating room cases include, but are not limited to, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, dental, and urology. Anesthetic care for patients having out of operating room procedures including, but not limited to, endoscopy, interventional radiology, echocardiography, cardioversion, electroconvulsive therapy Provision of expert consultation for the evaluation and appropriate intervention in acute perioperative pain management. Provide expert consultation for the preanesthetic evaluation of both inpatient and outpatient procedural candidates via in person, chart review, and virtual visits Participation in the education, evaluation, and mentoring of other physicians, nurses, ancillary health care professionals, fellows, residents, medical students, and nurses in training. Administrative duties including serving on hospital committees and participation in research and quality improvement activities. Act as the facility's airway management expert in all locations including the emergency department, intensive care unit, and all areas served by the hospital code team. Assure continuous anesthesia coverage to the hospital by participating in rotating call responsibilities. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with additional on call hours required. Call is divided among the anesthesiologists and averages every fourth night and one weekend per month. Holidays are divided evenly among the anesthesiologists.
