In this fast-paced and challenging role as an IT / Media Specialist for Vanderbilt University medical Center, you will provide technical direction, and support for a wide range of locations under the IT/AV model. Candidate is a media tech working with an in-house IT/visual media group, that has experience and can responsibly operate, maintain and manage a wide variety of IT/AV equipment and products.
Experience in Information Technology/ Audio Visual to include:
Proficient understanding of Office 365 suite
Proficient understanding of the Windows environment, including MAC OS
Troubleshoot any technical issues related to conferencing room setups, PC (Hardware/Software), room Camera's, and any other component used in a conference room setup.
Perform maintenance such as windows update, hardware firmware updates, and any necessary proactive task.
Must have the ability to Travel
Produce checklist in order to maintain and keep track of AV/IT equipment
Analyze, and implement best practices to ensure conference room systems are maintained
Maintain inventory of loaner/backup equipment dedicated to conference rooms
Test and evaluate new Audio-Visual technology
Basic electricity and electronics knowledge
Use of video and still cameras, and appropriate lighting equipment
Must be proficient with computer hardware
Operation of digital acquisition and processing equipment
Basic understanding of information technology and Audio-Visual fundamentals, such as: Windows OS/MAC OS, hardware, software, different types of cabling/standards, networking basics, and wireless basics.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, focusing on PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Adobe Pro Software
Knowledge of Zoom, Teams, Blue jeans, and other Video Conference interfaces.
Understanding of Audio/Visual systems, Crestron control systems, and HD-BaseT video distribution.
Ability to solve complex IT/AV issues, to include Hardware and Software.
Ability to solve/ troubleshoot Windows, and IOS operating systems.
Must have excellent troubleshooting skills.
Must have excellent communication skills.
