The Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (OMHSP) in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is responsible for providing strategic guidance directed toward improving the quality of mental health care for over one and a half million Veterans nation-wide. The Suicide Prevention Program (SPP) is focused upon the full implementation of VA's National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide (2018). This appointment is temporary not to exceed 3 years.
