JOB DESCRIPTION The Office Manager I will manage officer personnel to ensure accuracy of office-related tasks such as records, reports, and correspondence. Coordinates work distribution among assigned personnel and trains staff to ensure adherence to policies, procedures and regulations. Assists Director in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, objectives and department budgets.
The ideal Office Manager will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Develop and implement quality control procedures to maximize work flow and ensure accuracy of records, reports and letters Interview, hire, train, counsel, evaluate and recommend termination of employees Schedule and coordinate work of secretarial and clerical personnel to ensure accuracy on tasks such as: medical records, log books, transcriptions, abstracts, professional papers, presentations, test results Develop and conduct training to provide new employee orientation and to implement to policies and procedures Contact repair personnel and recommends equipment purchase to ensure proper working order of office equipment Assist Director in development of capital and operating budgets; ensures expenditures remain within budget Maintain departmental personnel and payroll records including time and attendance, scheduled time off, personnel files, merit reviews Communicate with Medical Center departments to exchange information regarding patient accounts and services to maintain patient files and department records Recommend changes to policies and procedures to maintain office goals Coordinate submission of government and hospital forms and maintains records to maintain accreditation of specialty areas. Communicate with various external agencies to exchange information such as patient census, status to ensure continued agency support
