The Practice Coordinator monitors and supports the onboarding, care delivery efficiencies, and performance of clinician and care coordination groups by promoting cross-departmental collaboration, providing practice management, and financial and analytic support. This position will work closely and take direction from the clinical leadership team.
New provider onboarding support:
Create onboarding schedule and check list for new providers and manage the onboarding of providers, collaborating with leadership to insure all onboarding needs are met.
Serve as the primary contact during orientation and onboarding.
Collaborate with Fairview Provider Enrollment to ensure providers are enrolled with payers and
FSCO for clinician credentialing needs.
Coordinate with appropriate departments to insure completion of required training and education both new and ongoing.
Inform Credentialing department of credentialing for payors and track to insure there is no lapse in credentialing with payor groups.
Attend provider and operations meetings as assigned.
Responsible for office supply inventory including business cards and general office items.
Coordinate provider out of pocket expense reimbursement for approved expenses.
Manage provider practice area spreadsheet and resignation report.
Provide reports to providers to promote efficiency and practice standards.
Participation in schedule/registration team meetings as applicable.
Support operations and patient care needs related to provider time off.
Provider CME coordination and payment for providers.
Coordinate and communicate provider schedules and changes to schedule.
Support accreditation / licensure of services.
Epic & WhenIWork scheduling templates:
Manage, create and update hours and availability / productivity established by manager.
Complete and create templates in Epic and WhenIWork.
Provide caseload reports to providers and management upon provider resignation and leave of absence and by the request of the leader / provider to support panel management.
Establish productivity targets in coordination with operational leadership.
Prepare monthly productivity reports.
Provide volume summary reports to leadership team.
Retrieve data from multiple sources to complete productivity reports.
Bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration, or human services related field or an associates degree with minimum of 5 years directly related experience. 2 years of experience working in the field of healthcare or business; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Bachelors degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration or related field 5 years of experience in provider practice support 5 years of experience working with physicians and/or advanced practice providers 5 years in a healthcare or public health environment
Additional Requirements :
Work proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Ability to provide attention to detail, great organization and thorough communication. Ability to work independently with limited direction. Ability to effectively work with all levels of employees. Ability to manage competing priorities to complete tasks. Ability to learn, replicate and/or improve standard workflows. Previous functional experience with electronic health records.
