Description Supervisor, Operations (Decedent Affairs - Third Shift) Job Summary: Provides first line supervision of Operator Services representatives; provides training, guidance and direction to team members on activities and behaviors; provides support for problem resolution and information gathering regarding customer complaints and work assignments. Provides support to management in all aspects of Call Center activities including, but not limited to, policy and procedure implementation and execution, performance management, and system administration functions Death Certificate Administration: (20%)
limited to: confirming and accurately transcribing patient demographics, ensuring the physician completes appropriate sections and signs / certifies and coordinating with appropriate funeral home or health department for filing
Records Information Management System (VRISM), Vanderbilt physician enrollment and act as liaison between Vanderbilt physicians and Tennessee Department of Health
reporting from EMR, completion of affidavits, coordinate delayed diagnosis completion and act as liaison with external entities and Vanderbilt physicians related to deaths outside of the Vanderbilt system Patient Disposition and Release: (20%)
limited to: coordinating with Funeral Home, Medical Examiner, Tennessee Donor Services, Metro Social Services or family, ensuring timely release of decedent and confirming all appropriate paperwork has been completed

Additional Responsibilities: (20%)
office and cell phone and returning calls as needed, monthly state and institutional reporting, partnering with surgical pathology and aiding with autopsy consents and triaging operational issues as they arise
monitor Patient Transport Command Center and provide logistical support (i.e. assigning jobs, cancelling jobs, inputting transport requests, prioritizing transport requests, maintain break schedule and assign staff accordingly, completing patient transports, rounding and service recovery
