The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the financial performance and the overall quality of hospice care provided in the assigned service area- Lake and Sumter County. The ED directly supervises the RN Team Managers. Job Duties - Ensures agency compliance with company policies and procedure, all applicable laws and regulations and any standards
required by accreditation standards implemented. - Actively participates in both the Operating and Capital budget process.
- Guides and directs staff to ensure they are functioning in accordance with their respective missions and in the most economic manner feasible.
- Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization. Develops highly motivated and self-sufficient teams who can perform at a high level of independence and responsibility by role modeling excellent communication and professional maturity.
- Participates in hospice-related events and committees.
- Promotes good community relations through involvement in community affairs and serving on related boards and committees.
- Works to develop partnerships with related community entities.
- Consistently monitors all quality indicators relating to service area, develops and implements plans for improving quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by COO and/or CEO.

- Completes work, care and documentation with accuracy and within agency time frames.
- Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed.

- Demonstrates self-confidence and ability to think conceptually in leading and directing others.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare-related field required; Masters preferred.
- Five to seven years of experience in management; director or higher level preferred.
- Hospice experience preferred.
- CHPN required for candidates with valid Florida RN License. If the candidate does not have their CHPN, it must be obtained once the required experience period is completed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and required auto liability insurance.
