You Will Be Responsible For:
Collects, compiles, analyzes, and reports decision support data and evaluates and implements processes related to Decision Support.
Develops, evaluates, and implements Decision Support programs and dashboards
Leads the analysis of financial information to support strategic decisions and operation improvement projects.
Provides timely turn-around on ad-hoc analysis
Assists senior management in making financial, operational, or policy decisions through the provision of information.
Drives productivity results and meets with department leaders to help them understand their data and strategize on improvement opportunities
Takes a key role in the hospital budgeting process by assisting with net revenue calculations, budget schedules, meeting with directors, and general analysis as requested by the Finance Director
Provides assistance to the CFO / Finance team on pro-forma assumptions and business development opportunities and service line analysis
Provides assistance to hospital leadership in identifying expense reduction opportunities and efficiency opportunities
Attends Safety Huddle and leads out for Finance
Develops and maintains tools for month end review and productivity management
Maintains and validates Premier Labor database and works with leaders to identify and implement labor improvements
What You Will Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited undergraduate program in business.
4 - 8 years of relevant professional work experience with at least 3 in a Hospital environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Effective communication skills with all team members across multiple disciplines
Knowledgeable in current healthcare financial trends.
Understanding of hospital quality measures
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills.
Skilled in multiple financial software programs.
Skilled in balancing multiple projects with differing deadlines.
Knowledgeable in statistical trending.
Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required and non-required meetings and staff development programs.
Demonstrates evidence of continuous professional development.
Interprets the type and specific data needed dependent upon the nature and scope of the issue being analyzed.
Understanding of hospital budgeting process and reimbursement concepts
Able to work independently and take initiative to learn new things / systems
As a member of the management team at FHZ complete Lean Leader training and certification.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Preferred CPA or CMA licensure
HFMA fellow or HFMA CHFP
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

Manages the Decision Support process to ensure that the Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Executive Information Systems (EIS) are built to meet the information needs of the business leaders and various business units. Develops and maintains analysis tools. Manages key aspects of the hospital budgeting process and productivity as assigned. Supports the Finance Director and assists with Business Development projects and service line analysis.
