IRB Assistant Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). One [1] year of full-time administrative experience. Experience in Microsoft Word Excel. Knowledge of medical terminology. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience in a Higher Education/Academic setting. Experience in IRB and/or IRB Administration. Trained/certified in human research protections. Brief Description of Duties: The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support to the Committees on Research Involving Human Subjects (CORIHS), the Institutional Review Boards (IRB) of Stony Brook University. The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving. Research Compliance also notes that the successful incumbent must understand human research compliance policies and regulations of federal regulators and the impact of non-compliance thereof. Duties:
Special Notes: The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
