The Infectious Disease (ID) Service in the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking applications for a full-time faculty member. The MSK ID service focuses on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases that occur in cancer patients and performs clinical, bioinformatic, and laboratory-based research with the goal of reducing infectious complications in this patient population.

The ID Service at MSK provides consultations for a 500-bed hospital, outpatient clinics, and support for a growing regional network. The ID Service includes an ACGME-accredited ID fellowship program and incorporates advanced practice providers in clinical activities. The ID service houses programs in antibiotic management, infection control and epidemiology, and in clinical and basic research. The team is based at the main MSK campus located in New York City.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Clinically evaluate and manage patients on the inpatient and outpatient clinical service
• Contribute to the teaching and research missions including supervising ID fellows, medical residents and medical students
• Participate in outpatient parenteral antibiotic administration and penicillin skin allergy testing programs
• Participate in educational and research activities
• Serve on institutional and service committees

The ideal candidate should have:

• An M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent with excellent clinical, communication and team skills
• Board certification or board-eligible in Infectious Diseases
• Licensure in the state of New York, or eligibility for a medical license in New York is required
• Outstanding clinical skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
• A track record of working toward scholarly achievement
• An interest in data analysis and process improvement
