Job Summary:
In your pivotal role of Sr. Program Manager, you will provide leadership for the creation, coordination, execution and growth of complex programs independently. You will also provide leadership to support programs that are expected to experience significant change, expansion or evolution over time.
Position Shift:
8AM - 4:30PM but flexible within the parameters of beginning workday between 7:30 & 8:30

Key Responsibilities:
In your challenging and rewarding role as a Senior Program Manager, you will provides professional and/or technical leadership in the execution of day-to-day program activities in the OHE. This key role facilitates systems and culture change and ensures there is a front door for all to engage in health equity initiatives. Specific responsibilities include: - Lead development of educational and training offerings focused on health equity and racial equity for learners, staff, faculty and others, including the Certificate in Health Equity. Training offerings may be formal (classes, workshops) and one-time (grand rounds, panels, presentations to internal teams). In addition to helping teach, prepare presentations and materials for such offerings.
- Communicate with VUSM faculty and staff on all matters related to the Certificate in Health Equity both for curriculum specific as well as logistical matters. Refine foundational curriculum offerings as needed based on feedback. Create infrastructure needed for students and others to successfully navigate Certificate offerings. Convene external advisory board for the Certificate. Stay abreast of state of the art in teaching health equity in medicine and other disciplines.
- Develop strategies and systems for engaging learners, faculty and staff in the Office of Health Equity. Identify practicum and other opportunities for learners. Coach a variety of audiences in using a health equity lens.
- Develop metrics of success for the OHE, support development of systems for tracking of OHE initiatives and outcomes. Support on-going evaluation needs for OHE program. Use internal and external data to understand inequities and help create and/or improve programs and initiatives.
- Create communication materials (website, one-pagers, reports) needed for internal and external stakeholders to understand the work and impact of the OHE. Create educational tools and materials needed to build capacity around understanding inequities.
- Support creation of infrastructure that advances health equity including reviewing policies, programs and practices with a health equity lens. Communicate within and across departments to maximize information sharing around progress, needs, inter-dependencies and accomplishments.
- Support writing of peer reviewed articles, other dissemination materials as well as grant writing efforts and information and data needs for grants.
- Lead launch and project management for initiatives such as the Health Equity Pillar Goal, Health Equity Innovation Awards, Health Equity Inventory and other internal efforts.
- Participate in and provide support to institutional workgroups and other internal committees related to the achievement of goals of the OHE. Workgroups may focus on learners, patients, staff and other areas.
