Engineer Stationary Lead Full Time Days

Summary
Maintains major equipment in the central plant; chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and associated equipment. Prioritize work requests, projects, and scheduled maintenance for area of responsibility, including boilers, chillers, and co-generation, and associated equipment. Maintains and operates boilers, chillers and associated equipment. Operate chillers, boilers, and auxiliary equipment. Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations. Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels, and make adjustments to maintain required levels. Test boiler water quality or arrange for testing and take necessary corrective action, such as adding chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits. Operate or tend stationary engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment such as pumps, compressors, and air-conditioning equipment, to supply and maintain steam or heat for buildings, marine vessels, or pneumatic tools. Switch from automatic to manual controls and isolate equipment mechanically and electrically to allow for safe inspection and repair work. Perform or arrange for repairs, such as complete overhauls, replacement of defective valves, gaskets, or bearings, or fabrication of new parts. Contact equipment manufacturers or appropriate specialists when necessary to resolve equipment problems. At management�s discretion, performs other related duties consistent with minimum level of preparation and training required and department demands/needs. Inspect equipment to ensure that it is operating efficiently. Check safety devices routinely. Record data and keep logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity. Knowledge of fire regulations and Regulatory Agencies; i.e. AHCA, Joint Commission, EPA, OSHA, NEC, NFPA.
