Job Description The Bureau of Communicable Disease at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH) is seeking a physician experienced in public health, hepatitis B and C clinical practice, drug user health and immigrant health to guide clinical activities within the Viral Hepatitis Program (VHP). BCD oversees surveillance and outbreak investigations for more than 70 reportable diseases. VHP conducts surveillance and applied research, policy and program development and implementation, program evaluation, provider training, community coalition building, community and health department navigation programs and public education awareness initiatives, in the areas of prevention, linkage to care and treatment for hepatitis B and C.
