Clinical Laboratory Director / Clinical Molecular Geneticist The Integrated Genetics division of LabCorp is seeking a full-time Clinical Molecular Geneticist to join our diverse team of Clinical Laboratory Geneticists at the Integrated Genetics in Westborough, MA. The Integrated Genetics laboratories provide high-throughput molecular carrier screening tests, diagnostic tests, and prenatal testing for genetic conditions. Experienced, Board-certified, laboratory directors as well as recently Boarded individuals are encouraged to apply. Please note: due to COVID, this position will be working remotely for the next few months. Once the pandemic conditions improve, the position will be working onsite in Westborough, MA. Responsibilities: - Review, interpret, and report patient results reliably, accurately, and with integrity
- Make clinical decisions and effectively communicate genetic information related to test results to health care professionals
- Interact collaboratively with other laboratory directors, laboratory staff, genetic counselors, and teams across the organization
- Provide oversight for quality control and quality assurance as appropriate, including setting quality standards for new tests and procedures and participating in proficiency testing
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and maintain familiarity with company SOPs and practices and applicable professional guidelines
- Participate in new test development and validation as needed
- Participate in evaluation and refining of testing panels offered by the laboratory as needed
- Analyze data for presentation or publication as needed
- Review scientific literature and attend scientific meetings
Required Qualifications: - PhD or MD with relevant molecular biology or genetics experience
- American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics
- Dual Board-certification in both molecular/cytogenetics is not required. However, candidates with dual Boards who wish to keep up their cytogenetic skills will have the opportunity to do so

- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and be meticulous
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting
- Proficiency in computing and internet skills, including use of in-house and online databases and browsers
- Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies preferred
