M Health Fairview is looking for a Nursing Assistant at St. Johns Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 56 hours per two weeks on the Day/Eve shift, for 8 hour shifts, variable schedule, and is eligible for benefits.

About this Position:

Observes cardiac monitors, detecting and reporting abnormalities that may occur in the patients EKG status.

• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes
• Observes the cardiac monitors and analyzes, records, and documents the rhythm status for each monitored patient
• Communicates information regarding rhythm status, problems, concerns, etc to the RN, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as appropriate
• Participates in meeting unit goals and objectives
• Performs clerical duties as delegated by the Clinical Director or Charge Nurse

Required Qualifications:

• Less than 1 year experience of Transcription/Unit Coordinator experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• EKG Monitoring Course (provided by HealthEast).
