Job SummaryNeuropsychologist - PhD or PsyDThese individuals are psychologists who have completed special training in the neurobiological causes of brain disorders and who specialize in diagnosing and treating these illnesses using a predominantly medical, as opposed to psychoanalytical, approach.Job DutiesThe Neuropsychology Division handles outpatient referrals across a full array of medical, neurologic and psychiatric conditions and provides inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological evaluations and consultations to a large community practice network as well as various specialty medical services, including, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Psychiatry, Medicine, and Cardiology. There will also be opportunity to take part in an interdisciplinary team, including a Behavioral Neurologist, contributing to comprehensive assessments and management of geriatric patients with concerns for neurocognitive disorders. Opportunity for involvement in additional areas of interest could be possible. The Neuropsychology Division sponsors a Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Residency Training Program, and Neuropsychology Track for the APA-approved predoctoral internship. Research opportunities are also available.
