This position will be responsible for developing both qualitative and quantitative analyses to evaluate and report the clinical and economic impacts of FPS business lines and services. This person will lead thedesign and assist in the development of methodologies for multiple projects on a wide variety of total health care and clinical pharmacy issues collaborating with the pharmacy team(s). Be a thought leader of what value/quality pharmacy should demonstrate, understanding the changing healthcare landscape and qualtiy metrics being developed. This position will provide consultative support to internal teams and external collaborators, evaluate clinical value, and lead the interpretation and positioning of analytic findings and value. Responsible for assisting with clinical report development and presentation of findings, including identification of actionable insights related to FPSs value in terms of clinical quality, cost outcomes and patient safety and satisfaction to both internal and external stakeholders.

The Health Outcomes Manager will be working with the core data analytics team along with pharmacists, and medical informatics staff.

• Develop clinical analytic strategies and priorities with FPS business & operations leaders. Develop ideas for new clinical analytic projects and programs to strengthen partner relationships with FPSs client base

• Understands the national quality landscape and informs FPS of industry trends and opportunities for metric development and testing. For example, CMS- STAR, ACO, PQRS and PQA.
• Articulate industry trends and the impact they will have to FPS or our clients.
• Studies and optimizes evidence and research that benefits patients and improves care; while considering cost, convenience, timing, accessibility and patient preferences

Program Design/Research Skills Impact analysis

• Design analyses of the clinical and economic impacts of various quality improvement and cost reduction interventions on the care provided to groups of patients
• Design analyses of patient characteristics that are associated with particular health outcomes or are predictive of future use of particular health care services
• Generate actionable insights and make strategic recommendations that drive decision in quality area.
• Ability to design methods to analyze performance variation in selected populations as compared with a control group for the purpose of understanding the cost effectiveness or health impact of various interventions on a population.
• Design and implement outcomes research and health economic research studies, oversee all aspects of HEOR activities; use outcomes research expertise to advise sponsors.

Clinical Performance Metrics

Minimum Education

• Bachelors Degree or 4 years directly applicable experience or any combination of post-secondary education anddirectly applicable experience totaling 4 years.
• Masters degree or doctoral degree in statistics, pharmacy, health services and outcomes research, health informatics,public health or related discipline with relevant healthcare experience.

Preferred Education

• PhD in pharma economics, public health, health outcomes, pharmaceutical outcomes research or related disciplinepreferred.
