Exciting opportunity to join the Banner Gateway MD Anderson Clinical Research Team! We specifically deal in Oncology research trials. This Clinical Research Program Manager will be an important asset during a West Valley Research expansion. Will be responsible for project management, finance review, study start up and other operational/ programmatic strategies.

About Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Located in Gilbert, Ariz. (the Phoenix Metro area) on the Banner Gateway Campus, the center provides world-class care for oncology patients - both inpatient and outpatient - and has also brought leading oncology programs to the Banner Gateway campus including Stem Cell Transplantation and comprehensive Head & Neck cancer care. Our capabilities include five linear accelerator vaults, a brachytherapy vault, an advanced diagnostic imaging suite with PET/CT scan, more than 50 infusion bays, a cryopreservation lab and much more. Our inpatient medical oncology unit also incorporates a program that utilizes the electronic surveillance partnership in caring for the patient, where remote nurses have the ability to interact with patients via two way audio-video to assist the bedside nurse with patient care.
POSITION SUMMARY This position leads the development and successful execution of clinical trials for which Banner serves as a sponsor, from protocol concept through clinical study report. This position will coordinate and manages efforts of cross-functional project teams to support milestone achievement.
CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Independently leads cross-functional study teams and study activities with minimal oversight to support milestone achievement and to manage study issues and obstacles. Reviews and monitor study activities to identify and resolve potential study or site issues as appropriate.
2. Acts as single point-of-contact for internal and external customers for study related issues including: operational strategies, recruitment and retention, risk management, vendor budgets and contracts, study documents, management of vendors, site support & training, and general quality/compliance issues. Facilitates communication across departments and elevates or triages site and study issues as appropriate.
3. Facilitates relevant study meetings and coordinates the interaction with other departments and stakeholder groups.
4. Organizes and manages study timelines, milestones, and critical study activities to ensure project deliverables are on time and within budget. Provides regular updates to leadership as appropriate.
5. Coordinates problem solving and resolution efforts to include management of risk, contingencies and issues.
6. Facilitates project closure including identifying lessons learned; effectively incorporating lessons learned into future projects; successful transition from project to production for all aspects and team members; appropriately manages project documentation.
7. Adheres to all relevant regulations including ICH, PhRMA and CFR guidelines, as well as Banner policies and procedures.
8. This position is responsible for the sponsor's daily operations from start-up to close-out of clinical trials. This position will support the Global Projects Prog Dir and other study leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in life / health sciences or related field and 10 years' clinical research experience including 4 years project management experience and experience in clinical operations; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Strong organization and documentation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Manager) Working knowledge applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's Degree and/or PhD preferred. Extensive experience in coordinating clinical studies and generally experienced in clinical research/development, particularly for pharmaceutical or industry-sponsored studies. Experience with Alzheimer's disease. Effective abilities in leading cross-functional teams.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
