In collaboration with the Service Line Executive and Medical Leadership, the role is responsible for implementation of the strategic plan into site operations (inpatient and clinic services as appropriate) for medical subspecialty service lines of Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infections Disease, Sleep Medicine and Labs, Diabetic Educators, and Complex Medical. Ensures the delivery of consistently high levels of quality care and service that meet and/or exceed clinical expectations. Assures the coordination, direction, and collaboration of services and resources related to the service line as well as achieving productivity, financial and operational goals. Supports the mission and strategic direction for the service line in conjunction with the key stake holders.

Manages Performance Improvement initiatives, including patient experience, cost/case, reducing variation in practice, and other quality improvement initiatives.
Provides financial expertise and advice to service line senior and operational management.
Serves as focal point for all service line analysis including budget variances, progress vs. plans\proformas, operating trends etc. Provides financial analysis related to existing or proposed financial models implemented to align incentives with physicians.
Supports Revenue Management
Collaborates with Revenue Management to develop competitive pricing and contracting strategies related to service line.
Partner with key stakeholders to support negotiations of contracts with third party payers.
Supports Revenue Management in negotiating technology advances into contracts, and developing prospective approaches to educating payers on efficacy of new devices, procedures, and protocols.
Bachelors degree in healthcare, business or a related field
5 or more years of leadership experience in a complex organization including project management, collaborative decision-making, knowledge of healthcare and process skills. Experience leading physicians or multi-disciplinary teams to achieve desired outcomes.
MBA, MHA or other relevant Masters degree
Experience in academic medical setting. Specialty clinical background/knowledge. Experience reporting to a governing Board and business experience.
