Assistant Professor in the Retina Division Department of Ophthalmology University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California is seeking a retina clinician-scientist to fill a full-time faculty position who will be appointed at the Assistant Professor level.
In addition to research, the candidates will provide retina clinical services at one or more of our multiple Bay Area clinical sites, and participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
Requirements: The successful candidate is required to develop or advance an internationally recognized, independent and extramurally funded research program in the basic, translational, or clinical sciences relevant to vitreoretinal disease. Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent degree and have a CA license or be eligible for full, unrestricted licensure, and have completed fellowship training in medical or surgical retina. Applicant must have all requirements met by time of hire. Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Demonstrated teaching competency as well as demonstrated success in clinical, translational, or laboratory research are essential.
