A Laboratory in the Department of Microbiology, Pathology, and Immunology seeks to hire a full-time Lab Technician, 8 :00-4:30 M-F, with some flexibility to move to a 4-day (10/hour a day work week) If needed.
JOB SUMMARY: Performs all routine activities connected with the responsibilities of the laboratory and maintains an inventory of supplies and cleans glassware with regular guidance.
Maintains adequate stock of reagents and supplies.
Performs daily assignments and cleans work area.
Sets up equipment and prepares materials for various procedures.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT - (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS): - Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with Inventory Management. Understands Inventory Management concepts and principles. Familiar with Inventory Management tools, processes, procedures and policies.
LABORATORY PRACTICES (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS): - Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with laboratory practices.
LAB TESTING (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS): - Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with lab testing.

High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and < 1-year relevant industry
