Position Summary: The Conference Coordinator supports the Director of Conferences and the Conference and Program Manager in executing PRIM&R’s annual conferences.
Assists the Conference and Program Manager with:
Leading the conference planning committees to develop conference agendas for in person and virtual events
Recruiting and communicating with higher level conference speakers (e.g., keynotes, panelists, etc.), including training speakers on online event systems (where applicable).
Works on conference agenda creation/maintenance and speaker management.
Helps execute conference programs in person/online.
Assists with conference budgeting as it relates to speakers.
Oversees conference department intern (when applicable).
Knowledge and Skills:
Software: Microsoft Office Suite; CRM/AMS Database (Salesforce); event software (Cadmium CD, Basecamp); Survey Gizmo; Google Docs; conference call software (Zoom); experience with virtual event platforms a plus.
Communication: Ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and adhere to PRIM&R’s high standard of customer service.
Other: Thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks; ability to effectively manage time and tasks without a lot of oversight; highly organized.
Internal: Works with the Director of Conferences, Conference and Program Manager, Conference and Program Coordinator, and Conference Assistant. Frequently collaborates with the Marketing and Communications team.
External: Daily communication with conference planning committees and speakers.
Telecommuting is allowed.
