The Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a clinician-educator faculty physician to serve as the director of our medical intensive care unit. This leader will build on the existing significant strengths and commitment to service excellence, high-quality clinical care, education, and scholarly endeavors in an environment that underscores a respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will have exciting opportunities to develop strategies to improve ICU patient care, develop novel educational programs, and contribute to scientific research. A strong ACGME-accredited fellowship training program in pulmonary and critical care medicine provides ample teaching opportunities. Interest in engaging in and supporting ongoing research programs in critical care health service and lung injury/inflammation is highly desirable. Our Pulmonary Division and University Hospital have been consistently ranked among the best in the State and Country with outstanding clinical care and world-class research programs.

Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be board eligible/certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Candidates should have a demonstrated track record in academics and strong leadership skills. The ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams is essential.
