You Will Be Responsible For:
The AdventHealth Innovation Lab Orlando Manager establishes operational, team, department and project processes with the Director for the Innovation Lab. Identifies opportunities for process and team improvement and works with the Director to identify and develop new product and service offerings that would be made available for internal (ACS & IHS) and external (outside company) stakeholders. Manages with the Director the Innovation Lab departmental and project budgets while monitoring productivity and team requirements. Supports, coaches and develops the Innovation Lab experience design team as well as the project liaisons, providing them with training and resources that grow their knowledge set and gain new competencies in the areas of innovation and design thinking. Supports and works directly with the Director to develop new strategies, operational processes and new business initiatives for the Innovation Lab. Supports the Director in the innovation integration process across the organization including innovation events and projects both internal and external. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; trains, supervises, and evaluates experience design and project liaison staff.
Provides management of daily operations and maintains department budgets with oversight from the Director.
Manages and ensures the accuracy, timeliness, reliability, frequency, level-of-detail of staff work product.
Builds and maintains relationships across multiple disciplines to achieve common goals.
Oversees and manages the Innovation Lab department including resources and leading project teams. Identifies opportunities for new revenue creation, performance improvement and operational processes that meet or exceed performance metrics against strategic and economic goals.
Supports the strategic direction and plan for the Innovation Lab's continued growth in collaboration with the Director; ensures strategic alignment with incoming external projects.
Seeks areas of department financial improvement and efficiencies, including employee productivity; ensures billing and invoicing processes are established with timely reimbursement to align with revenue goals.
Monitors staffing levels and overtime to maintain performance while meeting budgetary constraints.
Reviews department financial performance monthly as well as prepares the quarterly financial and innovation close with Director.
Sets clear and compelling goals for team reports and overall staff; holds team members accountable.
Meets regularly with the Director to review/revise/create new innovative design solutions, processes and new business initiatives.
Meets weekly with the Director to determine operational requirements, processes, department goals & objectives, while planning for continued growth of Innovation Lab activities and offerings across CFD.
Identify and review new technologies and solutions that would be beneficial to the Innovation Lab's strategic growth and operational processes.
Create synergies, maintain bidirectional communication, and act as point of accountability between the Innovation Lab and the internal & external stakeholders including clinical, administrative and external industry.
Together with the Senior Design Consultant and Director, collaboratively develops ongoing education for the Innovation Lab team regarding innovation theory and design techniques.
Cultivate an innovation culture and leadership within the team by providing ongoing guidance and feedback.
Interacts as needed with AdventHealth Design Center team, AIT, Finance & Accounting, Legal, and the broad Strategic Partnerships & Innovation teams to determine opportunities to collaborate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field of Business, Innovation or Design study
Three (3) years of experience working in a Business, Healthcare, Innovation or Design function.
One (1) year of management or operational leadership experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field of Business, Innovation or Design study
