The Improvement RN will support Emergency Services for UH Community Hospitals with implementing ED quality goals as well as any accreditation and regulatory compliance.
Independently manages and facilitates Quality Improvement, QI, projects.
Acts as resource to nurses.
Summarizes and analyzes clinical and operational data, develops summary reports, charts, and graphs, trends outcomes, and identifies opportunities for improvement from data analyses.
Acts as QI subject matter expert for Quality Center Staff and UH System stakeholders regarding meeting facilitation, clinical information, data analysis, improvement processes, and quality assurance.
Manages and or provides oversight for the planning and execution of major quality events including but not limited to the Quality and Patient Safety Fair, Surgical Safety Conference, Medicine Summit, and QC Retreats.
Serves as QI content expert, leadership escort, and scribe during major Accreditation surveys and participates in ongoing accreditation readiness activities.
After initial program development and execution, manages a standardized, comprehensive orientation process for new RNs.
Identifies barriers to success in meeting System Quality Priorities and collaborates with leadership to develop solutions.
This position will require travel up to 75% of the time.
3yrs+ RN experience in an acute care clinical environment required
