Provides expertise in educational assessment of training programs in relation to outcome measures based on evaluation tools utilized in Graduate Medical Education (GME),Learner Centered Education, and Clinical Environments. Provides expertise utilizing sound educational and evaluation practices and skills regarding monitoring and oversight of GME training programs to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and standards. Provides expertise to conduct needs assessments, design, develop, implement and evaluate educational programs, workshops, seminars, etc. to meet accreditation institutional and program levels. Provides consultative services based on best practice approaches for enhancing effectiveness of academic clinical and educational programs that fulfill accreditation requirements. Provides needs assessment, design and development and implementation of specific skills-based training required for credentialing of residents. Provide structural expertise and actual skills in the development of web-based educational modules for faculty development and resident assessment and training. Provides expertise to faculty in the development of educational, instructional, and critical assessment tools for a "Learner Centered Environment". Conducts scholarly activities to enhance the GME Department and increase stakeholder understanding of evidence-based educational processes in higher education learning environments (GME). Provides support in the academic administration of Graduate Medical Education where needed/ necessary to support GME, the Designated Institutional Official (DIO)/Associate Designated Institutional Official (ADIO), and other key constituents in the management and oversight of the educational environment in GME. Provides consultative support to the training programs within GME in ensure compliance with accreditation requirements. Responsible to the DIO by his /her delegation to the ADIO.
1. PhD in Education or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 2. Five years of previous experience working with University academic curricula requirements, including the design, implementation and evaluation of medical student programs/curriculums. 3. Experience in the use of personal computers and database management systems. 4. Experience in instructional design, web-based curriculum and specification, knowledge management, performance improvement/consulting and research survey design preferred. 5. GME experience preferred.
