Provides administrative primary support and reports directly to the Vice President Chief Enterprise Risk Officer Corporate Insurance and Risk Services (CIRS). Provides support to CIRS and Safety & Industrial Hygiene staff In addition, provides administrative support as required for the System enterprise risk management frameworks. Supports general administrative activities, ensures efficiency and organization to the department
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*1. Performs daily administrative support to all functional areas of the CIRS department. The administrative support includes scheduling meetings & training sessions, filing, preparing materials for presentations, and departmental organization.
*2. Issues of all certificates of insurance.
*3. Processes the malpractice claim verifications for employed physicians and owned-hospitals as requested by the Geisinger Credentialing Department or health insurance payers.
*4. Processes the professional liability claim verifications for employed physicians as requested by external parties.
*5. Obtains the motor vehicle driver license verifications as requested and submits to report to the respective department.
*6. Provides assistance as needed related to the claim management information system utilized for claim & property tracking purposes. This function primarily includes data entry related to claims and safety inspection reports.
*7. Assists with the professional liability claim reporting to the respective carriers as needed.
*8. Provides support to the AVP CIRS and Chief Risk Officer to compile presentation materials, meeting agendas, meeting materials and minutes related to the System enterprise risk management initiatives.
*9. Provides support to the Corporate Risk Committee, distributes meeting agenda & materials, schedules meetings and generates meeting minutes.
*11. Provide administrative support as needed to the enterprise risk management subcommittees.
*12. Maintains database for Employee Hearing Conservation forms for compliance tracking purposes if needed.
*13. Provides assistance to the CIRS staff related to travel & mileage employee reconciliations.
*14. Provide support to the Safety & Industrial Hygiene Director related to maintaining the Safety Manual Policies & Procedures.
*15. Coordinate office supply orders for the CIRS Department.
*16. Processes invoices for approval and payment for the CIRS department.
*17. Provides primary phone support for the Safety & Industrial Hygiene Department and backup phone support for the other areas within the CIRS department.
18. Performs all other duties as required or assigned.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Must be able to create and edit reports and presentation materials for management staff presentations/distributions.
Demonstrates ability to enter data into the Risk Console Information System and download reports.
Demonstrates ability to independently set up and maintain records and complex files in paper and electronic form.
Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and support multiple projects and department through time management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree in business, secretarial or related field preferred.
Minimum five years administrative/secretarial experience required.
