The Director of Innovation Implementation leads the health information technology implementation arm for Product Innovation department.Leads a team that effectively analyzes existing clinical workflows, engages with patients, families, providers and clinical staff to understand their needs, and collaborates with the rest of Product Innovation department to design, build, implement and evaluate innovations in care delivery. The Director of Implementation and the Implementation Team will engage effectively with all of the Geisinger enterprise.
This is a specialty position that integrates clinical practice, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, and knowledge in clinical practice to support all patient care facilities within the Geisinger enterprise. This position facilitates data integration, information and knowledge to support patients, families, nurses, and providers in their decision-making in all roles and settings. This support is accomplished through the use of information structures, information processing, and information technology.
Leads health information technology project implementation. Fosters quality customer service to internal and external clients and utilizes leadership skills to increase efficiency in operations and resource management.Establishes metrics for evaluation of implemented metrics.Coordinates evaluation with data analysts for reporting outcomes.
This position will report directly to the Associate Vice President, Product Innovation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in clinical, computer information systems, or related informatics technology, or health care administration field preferred.
Minimum ten (10) years of extensive experience with health care IT, including multiple EHR vendors, inpatient and ambulatory operations required.
Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in healthcare IT operations required including demonstrated experience in IT project management, workflow redesign, systems of care development, projection and development of quality and financial measures of success.
Requires eight (8) years demonstrated experience with EHR based applications in a complex health care environment. Strongly prefer exposure to health care industry regulations, revenue, best practices, quality and safety.
Pennsylvania State clinical licensure as a Registered Nurse or higher preferred.
Certification in clinical-based Informatics preferred.
