Serve jointly as Medical Director for inpatient dialysis at Carilion Clinic and as a private practice nephrologist with Valley Nephrology Associates, a growing regional comprehensive nephrology practice in Roanoke, VA. The Medical Director assures that quality medical care and technical expertise are provided in dialysis services at all Carilion Clinic inpatient units. Additional responsibilities include teaching medical students and residents with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, one of the newest and most innovative medical schools in the nation. As a member of the QI Team, the Medical Director actively participates in the Quality Improvement Programs. Nephrology responsibilities include treating new and existing CKD patients in the outpatient Nephrology clinic and providing consult services for hospitalized patients at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible or Certified in Nephrology with a minimum of 12 months experience in the care of patients at ESRD facilities. Apheresis experience is required.
